Model22X Electronic Position Control Valve
This application is for a municipal entity that provides water to a district about one mile downstream. The customer remotely opens the 16” Model 22X Electronic Position Control Valve to a certain percentage to allow a certain amount of water to flow to the district downstream.
After the municipality conducts testing to determine what flow rates they will get at various valve positions, they can then determine how far to open the valve and for what length of time in order to provide the water that is needed for that district for a given period.
For example, if the municipality determines they can flow 5 MGD (million gallons per day) when the valve is 25% open, then they will know to position the valve at 25% open when 5 MGD are needed.
