October 23rd, 2015, TULSA, OK – OCV Control Valves, LLC now has the most comprehensive NSF/ANSI 61-G listing in the control valve industry, certified through NSF International. OCV’s control valve product line maintains its previous NSF/ANSI 372 listing for all control valves in addition to adding the NSF/ANSI 61-G listing for virtually all models in sizes 4” through 24”.
Effective January 4, 2014, the Safe Drinking Water Act of the United States requires that drinking water products sold or installed for use in public water systems, as well as plumbing facilities, meet the weighted average of no more than 0.25% lead content. Products certified to NSF/ANSI 372 meet the required lead content requirements, while products certified to NSF/ANSI 61 also pass a leachable test to evaluate all contaminants of health effect concern, not just lead.
OCV Control Valves’ NSF/ANSI 61-G listing not only applies to pressure reducing and pressure relief valves, but valves used in many other applications including, but not limited to, electronic control, check valves, surge anticipation valves, solenoid valves, rate of flow control valves, altitude control valves and float control valves.
“OCV is dedicated to quality and that’s why we pursued such a stringent and comprehensive listing for virtually all of our control valves. We want to meet all of our customers’ needs and that means carrying the NSF/ANSI 61-G listing for all applications, not just a few,” says Blake Kelso, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
