Position Summary:

The Hydraulic Application Engineer is a hydraulic specialist providing outstanding solutions in the air and water management field. In this position, you will be the technical go to person of the sales, marketing and internal departments.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Analyzing the customers’ needs and providing the proper product selection.
• Technical documentation preparation and submittals.
• Pre-sale presentation to customers, providing lectures in seminars and representing the company in exhibitions and trade shows.
• Marketing materials preparation.
• Onsite commissioning supervision.
• Post-sale support by phone/mail/onsite.
• Technical support for production.
• Providing technical instructions to different interfaces – Sales, Customer Support, Production, Engineering.
• Collaborating with segment managers to execute commercial plans.
• Leading technical communication and working with company corporate offices and application engineers.

• Detailed and effective at accurately documenting specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, balancing customer expectations while providing timely support for all parties.
• Ability to work remotely and independently.
• Patient and capable of working under pressure.
• Partnering – building effective relationships with interfaces and stakeholders, as well as the Global team.

KPI’s:

• Timely and technically accurate responses to client requests.
• Meeting marketing plan goals.
• Customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related.
• Experience: 5-6 years in pre-sale/post-sale technical support position. Experience in the Field of Air Valves or Hydraulic Control Valves – advantage.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Visio & Office Products. Experience in network analysis software (KY Pipe or other) – advantage.
• Language: Additional languages – a benefit.
• Other Requirements: Valid Passport with ability to freely travel internationally. Valid state driver’s license.
• Experience/education in hydraulics – advantage.
• Must be able to travel when required Travel is up to 50%.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and kneel for up to 8 hours or more.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Computer use for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to travel by plane, car, bus up to 50 percent of the time.
